POW#7

I give this book a 5/5 for vivid narration, action, and easy transition. It was easy to understand what was happening the entire time and there were small illistrations occasionally that gave an even better mental image of the scenery.
The only real question for the author that I have is what his/her name is, because the author goes by a pen name which is Lemony Snicket.
My favorite quote from the book is located at none other than the first page.
To Beatrice: (in the dedication - Darling, dearest, dead. - Lemony Snicket.

I don’t have a pet right now but my dad has 3 dogs that I like a whole lot. Their names are Diesel, Elliot, and Kita. Kita is the newest dog and she is about a year and a half old. Elliot and Diesel are the biggest dogs I have ever seen. We call them dog-sized garbage disposals because they can eat anything and will eat anything you give them. There was one time when Elliot caught and ate a bird out of the air and it scared the crap out of my step mom. I thought it was really funny though.

POW #3

The infomercial that I am chosing to write about is the one about the Magic Bullet. The people all wake up hungover in a big mansion and can't make any good foods like they want to. Then all the sudden this guy pulls out a Magic Bullet blender and starts making a whole bunch of food for everyone and people become happy again. I think the technique they were using was testimonial, only because the happy guy in the beginning of the commercial exclaimed how amazing his life had became after he got the magic bullet. This commercial is one of my favorates because of all the amazing foods they make. I have probably memorized it by now. I am fully convinced that the Magic Bullet is the best and most affordable blender there is.

Does the opposite sex ever just make you mad?

Dear Brutus,
I am having an awful lot of trouble producing a child with Calphurnia. I have never felt so frustrated in my life. Just the mere possibility of being sterile is terrifying. Lately I just feel so depressed. To top things off, Calphurnia now has me freaking out over the dream she had. You know, the one where she saw in her dream the statue of me being transformed into a fountain from which spouted not water, but blood and the Roman citizens smilingly washing their hands in his blood. She has brought me much anxiety and anguish with her supernatural fortune-telling dreams. I really need some advice from you Brutus because I don't know what I am supposed to do from this point. I am very frustrated with myself for obsessing over it and her for announcing it all to me. Please help me out with my problem Brutus.
Sincerely,
Julius Caesar

Dear Caesar,
I have something to tell you. I was feeling really terrible and heartbroken about having to keep a secret from Portia because it goes against everything we and her share together. We do not keep secrets from each other, especially ones about murder. I felt honor bound to tell her, but now that she knows, I feel like I broke her heart. I'm so ashamed, but at the same time relieved. I just felt so pressured to tell her I'm sorry. Also, if you share the same connection with Calphurnia that I do with Portia, it should be very obvious what you should do. You should trust in what she says and you should take it as a warning possibly. I hope that I helped you somewhat.
Sincerely,
Brutus.
